at a CMD prompt in the folder where the files are

COPY *.txt newfilename.txt

Then import into Excel or drag and drop it into Excel.

Subject: Need to combine 30 text files of same fixed width format into one,
then into Excel

VFP9SP2

Got 30 text files (TXT) all with same field layout. Looks to be fixed
width. Need to combine all data into one large Excel spreadsheet.

Suggestions for easiest/quickest way? This is most likely a one-time
operation, so not worthy of a huge project.

tia!
