Some say General Motors isn't in the car building business - they are in
the ROAD building business...

Maybe M$ has designs on like you said - aquiring the Skype
infrastructure (??) for its' own purposes... or maybe they have plans to
buy Ma Bell and just skuttle Skype in order to make money via good old
fashioned phone service...
