Our planet will end when the sun does its supernova. Every star eventually does. There will be a sudden flash and it will be all over in about five minutes. Scientists study lots of supernovas and can tell you exactly what happens. However, we won't be here to see it since the sun will last 4.5 billion more years before that event occurs.
