Passing on a recommendation from the Python mailing list to take a look at CoffeeScript [1]http://jashkenas.github.com/coffee-script/
This is a high level language that compiles to portable Javascript. CoffeeScript's syntax is similar to Python and Ruby. I have no hands-on experience with this tool, but after my initial reading of the website, I'm very impressed. Have any of you come across this language before?
