"Think about it this way: If we consider the years of subsidies Planned Parenthood has received, it’s no stretch to say it's built an abortion empire by picking the pockets of the American people. "Although Planned Parenthood has consistently contended it doesn't use federal monies to perform abortions, its argument is a shallow one. Even if the $363 million it received in 2008 wasn’t used for abortions directly, it certainly freed up other monies that were, which means the subsidies are actually propping up the abortion provider. "As Ken Blackwell, fellow at the Family Research Council, put it: “Giving taxpayer money to organizations that promote and provide abortion, even if the money is not used for that purpose, frees up other funds for abortion purposes and gives the government’s stamp of approval to its abortion-related activities.” "The bottom line: Planned Parenthood gets a portion of every dollar that taxpaying Americans are forced to send to the federal government. Whether those Americans support abortion or oppose it matters not, as the federal government is no respecter of persons.
