At first glance, I thought the right tine of this fork
   (2 %~ ]) > [: (? ]) $
could be replaced by an idiom I frequently use
   (?@$)
but then realized that what we need is
   (?~@$)
so "dd" can be written as
   (]%2) > ?~@$
