Hmm... Usually when I want a clean slate, I start J over again.
This way, if I need something, that I forgot to put in the script, I can pull it out of the old J. And then I can shut it down when my tests are working well enough. This works better with jqt than with jhs. And you are right - I doubt many children would find interesting most of the things I play with. Actually, that's probably true of most people.
