My quick answer to that would be to try it. I don't think it will hurt the new version of J. If it has issues, it won't work. Also it will not work atr some step along the way. When you ponder that step, you will be forced to try to understand what may be changes in a newer version. Or you just try to solve your problem in a different way.
I'm not sure the best question here is: "Is that helpful?" It's just how it is. However, If you can isolate the specific step that will not work, it helps to raise the issue in the "beta" forum. One small change in the language can impact some odd thing somewhere else. So, demonstrate the specific problem you find and often, I have found, mysteriously a day or so later, it may no longer be a problem. The "gremlins" have made the trouble spot go away. Cheers.
