Jon, The advantage of GRB compared to RGB depends on the fact that green
light is much brighter thanred light. Try comparing these four image in jqt
and JHS.
The real use shows up if you consider the size of the numbers that are
selecting the colors. The larger the number the brighter the color. The
smallest number is black and the largest number is white.

Thanks for the example, but the colors seem wrong in the images (at least on
android).
The top left one looks like it should, the others look too blueish. maybe an
error in converting between ints and rgb triplets?
