That might be a browser failure mode. It's possible that rebooting and/or reclaiming storage used by the browser (clearing some cookies, for example) will fix the problem. (For whatever reason, we don't pay people to find solutions to those kinds of problems. Possibly because they are unpleasant to work on. Possibly because salesmen and politicians both like to claim that their stuff is great.)
