Present: Art Anger, Will Gajate, Raul Miller, Bob Therriault

1)Will reported on the J playground
(https://wgajate.github.io/jsource/bin/html/emj.html) and much of the
discussion was around the challenges faced in trying to develop a menu driven
interface that could accommodate labs and other useful add-ons. He has also
found a javascript interface for iOS devices which may allow the J Playground
to run on touchpads and phones as well. Will is going to touch base with Chris
Burke to update the version of the J playground on the J GitHub. Bob will touch
base with Eric to see if he has any suggestions on how to best do incorporate
menu driven labs based on his experience with JHS.

2)Bob reported that the response to the promotional
video(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aV936cVrN0I)which has been very positive,
both with array programmers and anecdotally with their non array programming
friends who are now interested in learning J. The video has had 289 views since
it was published without much publicity.

3)Bob then presented the prototype of the J wiki landing page
(https://code.jsoftware.com/wiki/Wiki/prototype_landing_page) with subpages for
newcomers (https://code.jsoftware.com/wiki/Wiki/newcomers),
reference(https://code.jsoftware.com/wiki/Wiki/reference)and
communityhttps://code.jsoftware.com/wiki/Wiki/community). The pages were
received well and the general direction was considered to be correct. Then
there was a discussion about the process going forward to update the wiki.
Suggestions are that the prototype be put up for consideration by the community
in a couple of weeks and then remain responsive to suggestions over the next
few months.

As always, we look forward to your feedback on the work that we are doing.
Please reply to this email (on the General forum only) with your comments or
suggestions. And, if you would like to be part of the group, let us know and I
will send you an invitation to the next J wiki zoom meeting on February 24th at
00:00 GMT.

Cheers, bob
