Hmm... Well, had I simplified that expression from some code I had written previously where the power was an argument (and often fractional). And, I had been working with complex numbers recently which led me to overlook that potential simplification (For example: 1ad30^4 _0.5j0.866025 ) Though I can't think of any useful reason to support complex arguments and I certainly didn't use them in that sentence.
