It looks like this was deliberately disabled (with an "it doesn't
work" comment), early last year. So it would have been throwing a
domain error in all releases, ever since.

I should put this on my list of things to fix. (It's fairly
straightforward, but it's a significant shift of gears to work on that
kind of thing.)
