I imagine you are using jqt.

If that is the case, I think you want to use the menu option Edit >
Configure > Qt Ide

And then, in the resulting edit window, I think you would want to find
the ConfirmClose=false line and change it to ConfirmClose=true

(And then save the file -- the change would take effect the next time
you start jqt.)
