Akinboo (and other interested parties)-- Several J programmers of varying experience levels have recognized that the large volume of J documentation is not optimally organized for easily finding the information relevant to particular needs. In recent months, a small group has started working on a major revision of the links to the many topics of possible interest.
When starting up J, find Main Page. There, in the sidebar, select Prototype Wiki. This should take you to J Wiki Home, showing links to some main areas of interest, which in turn can provide more details. When you wish to tell us what's missing or inconvenient about these pages, please respond to the General forum. We do need suggestions from users who have varying perspectives and objectives. Thank you. --Art Anger On Sat, 4 Feb 2023 02:38:31 -0700, Ak O <akin...@gmail.com <mailto:akin...@gmail.com>> wrote: On Sat., Feb. 4, 2023, 01:56 bill lam, <bbill....@gmail.com <mailto:bbill....@gmail.com>> wrote: > IMO reading documentation seriously by yourself is essential for learning > J. Without doing that others can't help you much. I will say again, please point me to the document and the exact entry that you are referring to. Tell me what constitutes 'reading documentation seriously'? Also, tell me how one goes about determining if another has or has not completed 'reading documentation seriously'? > Please also learn how to use jwiki to search for information you need, eg > using the search button. What a careless high-minded approach. Because you think you know something, everybody else must be of your same mind and experience and maturity in a technical area? I am interested for your response. Akinbo O. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
