[Jprogramming] JGetA

I'm looking for help with using the result of JGetA. Can anyone show  
me C code that unpicks this result and uses its contents in the C  
environment? I'm no skilled C programmer and this has me stumped.

I'm working on a Mac/OS X/PPC environment, though examples on any  
platform would be appreciated.
