I will try to compile the source code for image3. We are happy that image3 utility could handle the movie control like rewind, backward, forward, and so on.

You might be able to use OLE to do this on Windows, I'm not sure.

There aren't intel mac binaries of the image3 addon. If you're familiar
with C, you could try building your own Intel Mac binaries; the image3
source code is available at
http://www.cs.lafayette.edu/~reiterz/image3-source.tar.gz
