Hi, with UTF-8, Unicode and Windows, also beware the BOM (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byte-order_mark).
Most Windows editors will add a BOM without telling you or giving you a choice. And if your program doesn't check for a potential BOM, you're in trouble.
