I don't have a complete answer, but a quick test as follows:

    ]d=:3 5$10 12 35 18 29,120 150 110 130 160,3 5 2 24 13
  10  12  35  18  29
120 150 110 130 160
   3   5   2  24  13
    plot d
    'poly' plot d

Shows the 2nd plot is a 'shaded polygon' plot of the multi lines in  
the first plot.
