I don't think his machine is that slow - it's more the overhead of the
extended integer, i.e. on the faster of my two machines at work:

   time 'Mem =: 4 (<1 2 3) } Mem'
1.841231
   Mem=: ( C, W, H) $ _1
   time 'Mem =: 4 (<1 2 3) } Mem'
2.2468948e_5
