Thank you for this help. I eventually found another way to fix the problem.
First I tried the steps you recommended (closing J, deleting contents of *
~temp* folder, restarting J) but this gave the same error message.
Then I tried opening the package manager and updating the *base *package -
which apparently was slightly out of date.
Now my *base *package is version 6.2.50, and my *data/jdb* package is
1.0.18, and the *sandp *demo is working fine.
