I see the same problem on 32 bit windows XP for gtk. After hitting this I GIT'ed the complete system trees for j 6.02 and j 7.01 on my various systems. One of the weaknesses of the otherwise excellent JAL package manager Is an inability to rollback updates. By putting the entire system tree under version control it's easy to rollback JAL updates.
Why I didn't do this ages ago is a major DUH.
