I don't believe http://www.jsoftware.com:50001/jum is avaiable now, nor has it been recently, in my experience. It was mainly a proof of concept for the developers of J to show that JHS could be provided via the internet. But it must be a little difficult to keep going and little used because it periodically goes to sleep.
My understanding is that another machine is any machine on the local network, when you use the "http://SERVER_IP_ADDRESS:65001/jijx"; option. I have used this option a lot in my own home and our local wifi.
