As discussed in IRL, to implement journal searching via abbreviations, and
also implementing PS and Type searches correctly, requires a facility in
search_engine to do a lookup against a kb before going to an index:
thus
find journal PHRVA,D50,593
or
find tc P
or
type:P
would each be sent to a Kb to get PHRVA -> Phys.Rev. or P-> Published
