If I understand you well, then you would like to let your Invenio server
harvest your Indico documents and put them into a separate collection on
your Invenio server (that contains other papers as well). If yes, then
(1) you have to configure an OAI export gateway on your Indico server
first. After that (2) you configure the BibHarvest daemon on your
Invenio server so that it would fetch records from your Indico instance
periodically into your Invenio instance. During this fetching process,
you can use the h-c-u harvesting mode that enables you to use some XLST
to add any MARC fields you may need, e.g. new collection indicators tag
980 $a. (Note that Invenio comes bundled with the oaimarc2marcxml.xsl
example that you may possibly use out of the box; or tweak a little to
suit your metadata markup.) See also the BibHarvest Admin Guide on
various available harvesting modes. After you have your Indico records
harvested into your Invenio instance, (3) you can then create a new
collection that would encompass all your Indico records (by common tag
980) in your Invenio instance. And you are done on the Invenio's side.
Finally, (4) you let your Indico instance know of your Invenio's
instance URL, and you should also be done on the Indico's side.

See the above notes. I believe our Indico colleagues might have a wiki
page on the CERN setup, which might give you some ready-to-use recipes.

It does, by means of an intermediate Invenio instance, after you export
your Indico records into your Invenio instance, as mentioned above.

Best regards
