Dear Brian,

thank you very much for your comments. It is always a pleasure to hear
that CDS Invenio can fulfill the needs of communities in various
contexts.

For example, I would like to change the term "baskets" to "research
folders" or something like that. I know I can go through the
templates and replace each instance. However, I was wondering if
there is a language file or other method that is better suited for
this task. Ideally I would like to just replace the name in a single
location if possible. After searching around, I didn't seem to find
anything in the python files.

The languages files can be found in the cds-invenio/po/ directory of
your CDS Invenio sources directory. There you can edit the *.po files
(one for each language) to replace 'basket' by the term of your
choice. Of course a global search-replace might lead to awkward
translations, depending on the language and the context where the term
is used. You might therefore want to disable the languages for which
you cannot review the translation.

Once happy with your edition, you can compile and install the language
files:

$ cd ~/cds-invenio/po
$ emacs en.po               # edit English translation
$ make update-gmo
$ make install
$ sudo apachectl restart

You can find more information about the language files at
