exactly which cron jobs are you talking about? In the HOWTO run on CDS Invenio (<http://invenio-demo.cern.ch/help/admin/howto-run>) the only cron job suggested is for the alertengine. Everything else comes in the form of bibtasks which are special daemons/jobs that should be scheduled via the bibsched tool. Those bibtasks asks for authorization at submission time. Users who can run these tasks are those that have received proper authorization (via WebAccess) to the corresponding action (e.g. to run bibindex a user should have received authorization for the "runbibindex" action). By default only the admin user (with his/her password) is authorized to run the different bibtasks. Authorization is asked only at submission time. Once the task enters the bibsched queue no authorization will be required to later execute it and to resubmit it automatically (if you have specified the -s/--sleeptime option).
