exactly which cron jobs are you talking about? In the HOWTO run on CDS Invenio
(<http://invenio-demo.cern.ch/help/admin/howto-run>) the only cron job
suggested is for the alertengine.

Everything else comes in the form of bibtasks which are special daemons/jobs
that should be scheduled via the bibsched tool. Those bibtasks asks for
authorization at submission time. Users who can run these tasks are those
that have received proper authorization (via WebAccess) to the corresponding
action (e.g. to run bibindex a user should have received authorization for
the "runbibindex" action). By default only the admin user (with his/her
password) is authorized to run the different bibtasks.

Authorization is asked only at submission time. Once the task enters the
bibsched queue no authorization will be required to later execute it and to
resubmit it automatically (if you have specified the -s/--sleeptime option).

Best regards,
        Samuele
