I'm quite sure we discussed that etch.5 should only be made for selected
architectures, as etch works just fine on a lot of hardware, just not on
recent i386, amd64 and ??? hardware. I wonder what ??? really is. Arm? Mips?
Nothing else?
Regarding the four options you thankfully laid out, I think we should either
go for 2 or 4. 1 indeed sounds like too much work and 3 is not really helpful
for users looking for a stable installer^winstall.
