Users can apparently trigger exceptions with a rather common journal
format:
Physics 1:195
Putting this in the search box as "anyfield" or journal: generates user-
facing exceptions.
Using "find j" generates nothing (slightly better, but not great)
Using journal:"Physics 1:195" generates the expected "no match found"
Correct behavior:
the colon in the search should not trigger an exception!
the behavior of journal:"Physics 1:195" is reasonable, but hard to
achieve without quotes. A message like "there is no "1" index" would be
reasonable.
