Indeed, we are going to provide a patch to make the import of Selenium
more gentle so that you can keep on using the other test-suites on old
Python versions.
Note that for the time being we are officially still supporting Python
2.4 (at least for Invenio codebase). Besides Selenium, all the other
Invenio required dependencies are still available for Python 2.4. (and
Selenium is not needed for Production).
Hopefully in the first few months of the next year, SLC6 will be
declared stable and we will move our production servers to it and hence
will raise the minimum Python version to 2.6.
Note also that new web framework we have chosen, Flask, requires minimum
Python version to be 2.5.
