Role: Embedded Developer with Hands-Free Audio exp Location: Chicago, IL Duration: Long Term After Phone Screen In-person Interview must For submittal we need 2 professional references. Job Description: Responsible for the software development, target porting, integration, and testing/benchmarking of advanced hands-free applications for embedded automotive products. Technologies of interest include acoustic echo cancellation, noise suppression, speech enhancement, and multi-microphone solutions. Responsibilities include: Unit/system testing, documentation, coordination of formal releases for multiple programs, debugging of integration issues as well as testing and parameter tuning of algorithms/systems on target vehicles. Work products should comply with industry software engineering process requirements such as SEI's CMM, SPICE, etc. Interfacing with customers and suppliers as needed. Defining and leading technology benchmarks of internal and 3rd party solutions. Developing methodologies and procedures to improve overall efficiency and product quality. Driving engineering requirements specifications and field issue resolution. Qualifications: Expertise in digital signal processing and speech/audio technologies as applied to the automotive environment. Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues. Proficiency with C/C++, porting of floating-point algorithms to integer processors (ARM, TI), scripting languages (Perl and/or Python), real-time operating systems, and embedded software development. Works well in team settings in fast-paced environment. Willing to take initiative and goal oriented. Solid organization skills and a strong sense of accuracy and quality in your daily tasks. Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills Experience: Minimum of a MSc. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with emphasis in digital signal processing and 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
