Familiar with criminal justice business processes and terminology.* * * * * *Initial Project Description:* *The project has several goals, and this consultant may be assigned to work on any one of those goals as necessary and appropriate. The major goals, or projects, are as follows:* *• Implement a common, automated risk and needs assessment instrument (COMPAS) that is available through the IJ Portal. * *• Develop standardized (NIEM-compliant XML) data exchanges to promote data sharing of critical agencies. * *• Create a data repository within the Portal to provide common access to data that is critical to multiple agencies. * * * *This position will report to the technical lead and will assist in the effort to assure current and new technologies are effectively integrated to fulfill the business needs. Assure proper articulation and reporting of project status to stakeholders and executive management.* *• Communicate risks and issues and intervene when necessary to assure timely completion of the project.* *• Coordinate user training.* * * *MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE * *Baccalaureate degree in computer science (or closely related field) and minimum four years of experience, or a Master’s degree in computer science (or closely related field) and minimum of three years of experience.* *At least 3 years experience in information technology (see above) with one or more of the following areas: system administration, implementation, coordination, support, management, or maintenance.* *DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE* *Experience managing the implementation of business automation processes using Microsoft SharePoint 2007/2010, SharePoint workflows, custom webparts, etc.* *Should have hands-on experience with enterprise-wide solutions and working with end-users.* *Excellent Technical, Communication and Writing skills.
