Job Title: Senior Business Analyst Location: Boston, MA Duration: 2 Years Contract Must be Local to MA - In person Interview is Must. Responsibilities: Collaborate with business owners, end users, and Subject Matter Experts to gather and document business requirements Gathers business requirements through a variety of techniques (e.g. work sessions and interviews) and facilitates design workshops (Business). Clarify and elaborate requirements when they are ambiguous, change, or conflict with other business requirements Review system design approaches to ensure they fully meet the business requirements Write use cases, business rules, and other artifacts such as swim lane diagrams and activity flow diagrams to effectively articulate and represent business processes, desired outcomes, and requirements Produce key documents, both in written and presentation format. Excellent problem solver with the ability to keep many driving factors and requirements in focus Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment Strong communication and documentation skills, ability to communicate and interact at executive and junior levels Consistent attention to detail Overall high degree of professionalism Qualifications: Close to 10+ years of IT experience. At least 3 years of experience as a senior business analyst responsible for managing requirements of large complex projects. Knowledge of business process analysis and/or re-engineering using various methodologies such as RUP and agile methodologies Strong knowledge of process flow diagraming techniques such as Swim Lanes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to translate complex business needs into use case models Familiarity with reporting and ETL tools a plus Excellent interpersonal, communications and analysis skills, planning and organizational proficiency and good business judgment. Familiarity with IT business practices and be able to interface and integrate with IT and Agency functional areas. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Ability to perform related duties, as required Bachelor's degree with a major in the field of computer science, information systems Working knowledge of Relational Databases, Data Modeling and Analytics skills; Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence theory and concepts.
