Will engineer the OSB and BPEL Web Service deployments in multiple datacenters using Active/Active and Active/Passive patterns. As needed, assist application teams with the design and troubleshooting of services hosted within the SOA environment. Knowledge/Skills: Extensive knowledge of Oracle SOA Suite middleware, SOA principles and service design, application integration patterns, and messaging. Clear understanding of the core technologies and industry specifications that compose SOA including the WS specifications, REST, XML, JSON, XSLT, messaging, BPEL, distributed transactions and SOA security. Strong communication skills and technical leadership will be needed to broker discussions with infrastructure, application development, and management. Major Duties: Design SOA web service clusters that meet transaction processing, capacity, and availability requirements for high availability in a multi-datacenter environment. Configure and test integration of web services with message oriented middleware, security solutions, and monitoring tools. Implement change control for platform and application updates from non-production to production environments. Develop and test disaster recovery plans for application servers and middleware. Write shell and WLST scripts to automate repetitive tasks as required. Create runbooks, standard setup guides and support documentation for operating teams. Interface with and advise development teams that are creating and consuming Oracle Fusion base web services. Instruct others on how to administer, configure and support OSB, BPEL, BAM and OEM. Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and at least seven years' experience in systems architecture and development methodologies, or an equivalent combination of education and work experiences. At least five years of experience designing and implementing web services infrastructure in an enterprise environment. Experience with Exadata and Exalogic a plus. The Lead WebSphere Technical Consultant will interface with internal as well as client technical staff for the purposes of design and planning, implementation, integration and support of client solutions.
