Offers can be made off 2 phone interviews (possibly F2F for local candidates). Candidates can also sit remote but must be in the Maryland/DC/PA/NJ/VA area and available to travel to Baltimore on short notice. Candidates must be able to pass background prior to starting (2-3 day process). All of the technologies listed are not needed, but a good core of them. *Principal Responsibilities:* • Manage the implementation and configuration of the Layer 7 XML Gateway software providing service gateway technology for complex machine-to-machine data communication and integration • Work directly with various system owners and internal teams managing complex workflows in the Layer 7 XML service gateway being utilized by numerous web applications and dependent technology (e.g., SOA Suite, CentraSuite) • Initiate, evaluate, communicate and coordinate technical issues among different groups, and negotiate their resolution, ensuring that issues are acted upon, documented, communicated and closed within a reasonable time frame. • Identify areas for improvement within the current technical services delivery; and work with other teams in order to recommend and implement best-practices, processes and procedures that will add value to technical services delivery. • Establish cross-training initiatives within the team to provide enhanced support capability. • Conduct and lead meetings and technical sessions with various groups as part of technical services delivery of service gateway technology and follow up with recommendations to management, action items and implementation plans • Develop, document, implement, and maintain Layer 7 installation and upgrades *Required Skills for Middleware Engineer* • Strong knowledge and experience working with Apache and IIS to deliver Layer 7 gateway services. • LAMP – Experience navigating systems utilizing the Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP (LAMP) stack • The ability to communicate and present to both technical and non-technical staff and management at all levels of an organization. • Experience providing solution architecture requirements for the configuration of Layer 7 and/or service gateway technology in general. • Experience with API software. • Experience as a Java Developer preferred • Very strong interpersonal skills. • Sound knowledge and hands-on expertise in the following core skills set involving any combination of the following: • Unix system administration and tools including installation, configuration, networking, server administration/management, troubleshooting, monitoring, tuning, capacity planning, backup/recovery, service pack/hot fix/patch install, vendor support liaison, coordination with technical staff at all levels. • Worked with ITIL processes • Familiar with Project planning and use of project & documentation tools • Industry technology vendor certifications will be very beneficial. ?????? *Required technologies for Middleware Engineer:* • Windows 2003/2008 • Linux Redhat • ITIL foundations knowledge • Service Oriented Architecture • SDLC process knowledge • Must be able to obtain and hold a public trust *Preferred skills for Middleware Engineer: * • CA Layer 7 • GitHub Enterprise Content Deployment • JBOSS • CDX Exchange • Nginx Plus Premium • Phusion Passenger Enterprise • Splunk Enterprise Perpetual License • HP Fortify • HP ArcSight • Cyber-Ark • Security Center (Tenable) - NESSUS • Retina • Tripwire • Red Seal - Security Software -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "project managment" group.
