*JOB DESCRIPTION:* *Job TITLE: Business Intelligence Analyst (Tableau)* *Location : Pittsburgh PA * *Duration: 6+ Months* *JOB SUMMARY:* Interact with business users, other members of IT and possibly external clients at various levels of the organization. Provide meaningful display of operational data that would help business to arrive at decisions easily. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * · Analyze data related business problems and provide solutions with BI tools and technology at hand · Work with business representatives to gather dashboard requirements · Development, analysis and testing of report results · Ad-hoc report development for business users when necessary · Maintain knowledge of business processes and application design · Understand cross-functional business relationships and their use of information · All other duties as assigned * MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS* · 5 or more years of work experience required · Strong experience in Tableau is preferred · Analysis and problem-solving skills are essential · Experience in mathematical modeling of data would be a plus · A general understanding and ability to apply Software Development Life Cycle practices and methodologies in a team collaboration environment. · The ability to work quickly and effectively in order to provide ad hoc queries to business users on a daily basis. · The ability to read, interpret requirement documents · Comfortable with interaction between IT and business operations · The ability to read, write, and understand complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures and functions. · Knowledge of MS Office suite of products. · Previous use of Business Intelligence tools including but not limited to: Qlikview, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting Services or Cognos · A working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Management Studio.
