Summary: arch + subversion own system

Original Submission: Arch seems to work and should get it own system.

We should do that once we had subversion.

I think these services should go on lisa with a new hard disk. I can pay it (an
usual IDE hard disk of 120 / 160 GB should be enough). Can you install it,
Vincent?

Great. You should post a news item mentioning that the services
cvs.gna.org/dl.gna.org/arch.gna.org/home.gna.org will probably be unavailables
that day around 18:30.

So users wont have a bad surprise.

You should also send a note to send to Loic (ideally not by mail but by phone
or otherwise mean you're sure he's likely to notice) about snail going down for
a, hopefully, short time.

I've got an appointment with Free on tuesday 2004/10/7, 18:30 local time. I'm
trying to gather the following items to install/update:

 - hard disk + IDE cable (Timo)

 - rs232 link + couple of good network cables

 - install plate to spare some U's in the bay

Actions :

 - Snail upgrade

 - disk install in Lisa

 - back-to-back serial links check/conf

Ok, so once you get a chance to install this new hardware, tell me so I'll
install the chrooted systems + backend.
(well, for subversion..)

Ok.

I proposed to pay it because I do not want to force FSF France to do anything.
But if FSF France can and want to, it's indeed fine for me.

My mother bought a new computer a few month ago, an Hitachi 160GB was cheap
enough, so a 120GB should more than affordable (but it's not sure you'll find
one; where I buy computer stuff, you no longer find so small HD).

As before, I cannot really make phone call. To make external phone call from
CERN, you have to buy a specific card or to have an internal CERN account
number (and I dont as I'm paid as external consultant).

I can install it, but not before next week (moving to new flat this
saturday...). I think FSF France can buy another 120GB disk without any pb.

As soon as Loic is okay (better phone him about the thing at 01.42.76.05.49), I
make an appointment with Free (22/09 would be fine).
