Savane now permits to allow or forbid transitions from one field value to
another, on the trackers. It permits also to define specific events for
specific transition, as mail notification or assignation to a specific
technician.

For example, you can decide on your task tracker that item resolution cannot be
changed directly from "None" to "Done", but needs to be changed first to "Works
for me". And you can decide that when an item change from "None" to "Works for
me", the item is reassigned to somebody else, in charge of approval, that will
change the item resolution to "Done" if he's fine with how things have been
done.

To configure transition, go in the Manage Field Values section of the trackers
Administration -- it requires "project administrator" rights; manager rights is
not enough.

This feature was implemented at CERN and is still in experimental state. Please
report bugs/suggestions at https://gna.org/bugs/?group=savane , and mention as
Affected Release "DEV_2009-06-05_CERN".

Have fun :)
