I just worked on that thing. It's now properly cronned (daily), overlong jobs don't overlap, and it's only fetching data/*.tar.gz files. It has downloaded 29GB, still 25GB to go (we'll need at least the whole WE to catch up).
I plan to limit the backlog on this machine by automatically removing the older file when some size threshold is reached (I'd allocate 60GB now, half of mksp main disk space).
I still need to take a night at Mekensleep's and set up the tape thing.
