Dear Chrono users,

We would like to invite you to attend the 11th edition of the Machine-Ground
Interaction Consortium (MaGIC) meeting. The emphasis this time around is going
to be on how the simulation platform Chrono comes into play in the broad area
of terramechanics, simulation in robotics, and off-road autonomy. The meeting,
which like in years past is organized by Radu Serban and I, will run over three
days:
- December 5, 2023 (Tu): presentations made by Chrono users.
- December 6, 2023 (Wd): combination of talks by Chrono users and members of
the Chrono development team.
- December 7, 2023 (Th): Chrono tutorials.
The meeting will be *in person* and organized on the campus of the University
of Wisconsin-Madison.

Registration fee (registration opens September 1st):
- Free for any participant from academia
- Free for any participant from a state of federal organization
- Free for members of the Machine-Ground Interaction Consortium
- $200 for anybody else

The first-day talks will cover topics such as terramechanics, human factors and
human-in-the-loop simulation, vehicle control for off-road applications, robot
simulation for agricultural applications, racing simulation, wind energy
harvesting simulation, wave energy harvesting simulation, extraterrestrial
rovers, rotor dynamics. The preliminary list includes speakers from the Driving
Safety Research Institute, University of Haute Alsace (France), US Army GVSC,
University of Michigan, QBlade (Germany), Goldwind (China), DOE NREL, Arizona
State University, University Politecnica de Catalunya (Barcelona, Spain), NASA,
Shanghai Jiaotong University (China), The Last Garage (Netherlands).

Please let Dan and I know if you intend to participate.
A follow up email will go out in about a month. We hope you will join us in
Madison in December.

Best,
Radu
