Hi Zed, First, the code in the ‘main’ branch of the Chrono repository is *not* the same as the one in release 8.0. There were quite a few additions, fixes, modifications. In fact, the Chrono::VSG module was added after the 8.0 release. You can see the main changes made since the last release in the CHANGELOG<https://github.com/projectchrono/chrono/blob/main/CHANGELOG.md> file.
Regarding your problems with incompatibilities between the current Chrono::VSG code and its VSG dependencies, the solution is to use the scripts we provide for building and installing the various VSG libraries, instead of vsgFramework. Pull the latest code in the ‘main’ branch and see the updated installation page at https://api.projectchrono.org/module_vsg_installation.html. In particular, use the approach #2 (“VSG build scripts”).
