Hello all! First, please bear with me here, as I am relatively new to PyChrono. I appreciate any/all feedback or tips!
I have applied a coefficient of friction to a body (ChBodyAuxRef) imported from SolidWorks via the "*mat.SetFriction(fric_coefficient)"* command for a NSC material. This material then appears in my collision model for the body. My question is: *is it possible to have this friction coefficient only act in one direction?* Basically, I am trying to model an extremely frictional material which only adheres to a surface when a shear load is applied in one specific direction. So, I need the *friction coefficient to very high in one direction only*. As I understand it now, the command mat.SetFriction() sets an *omnidirectional coefficient of friction* to the surface. Any ideas on if this is even doable? Thanks so much, Maddy -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ProjectChrono" group.
