Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia Press Release in London - United Kingdom ANNOUNCEMENT TO INDONESIAN VOLUNTEERS IN GREAT BRITAIN AND IRELAND 1. On behalf of Indonesian Government, the Embassy of Republic of Indonesia London expresses highest appreciation and gratitude on the participation of Indonesian community in easing the burden of earthquake and tsunami in Aceh and its surrounding. 2. Based on the situation in Indonesia, especially in the disaster area, the Central Government expresses that people in the disaster location are in need of various aids like medical supplies, water purifier and means of transportation, like aircrafts, helicopters, and other heavy equipments. 3. As of now, aids like clothing are sufficient. 4. Based on this assessment, any aids to the disaster area are focused on the types as in item 2. 5. For volunteers in Great Britain and Ireland, who have collected goods to be donated to Indonesia, please be advised that these goods need to be sorted out to reduce the tasks of volunteers in the disaster area as their man-power and time are limited. 6. The Embassy of Republic of Indonesia is in coordination with a charity organization in London, Humanity First, in sending out donation to disaster victims. 7.
