Orang2 Arab zaman dulu memang percaya bhw perempuan itu sederajat lebih bawah dari laki2. Bhw laki2 itu pemimpin. Mereka semua sengaja melupakan bhw Muhammad ibn Abdullah dipinang dan dibayar mahar oleh janda Khadijah. Khadijah selama hidupnya adalah 'pemimpin' Muhammad yg tugasnya adalah karyawan si bini yg kaya-raya. Banyak negara Barat (apakah Kristiani atau Yahudi) yg maju di bawah pimpinan perempuan. Sedang di Saudi Arabia baru bulan ini perempuan dibolehkan naik sepeda! Rupanya penyakit 'misoginy' = membenci perempuan yg diwariskan oleh Nabi Junjungan begitu lekat dg otak laki2 Arab Islami. Segala cara dihalalkan untuk mengekang kebenasan perempuan: jilbab, nggak boleh sekolah, nggak boleh keluar sendiri, nggak boleh kerja (takut ketemu laki2 non-muhrim), nggak boleh nyetir mobil, nggak boleh menolak ajakan suami untuk indehoy, dan masih lusinan larangan untuk mengekang kaum perempuan. Di balik semua ini pada umumnya laki2 (Arab Islam) sebenarnya takut kalau2 bininya ternyata lebih pinter, lebih berwibawa, lebih cekatan dari laki2. Muslim laki2 tidak sadar dengan segala pembatasan akan hak dan kebebasan perempuan mereka merugikan diri sendiri. Betapa tidak kira2 50% dari SDM tidak dimanfaatkan.
