The ministry said several years back the criminal got drunk and broke into the house of another citizen while his wife was alone. Relatives of the victim informed police, who launched a manhunt for Al-Mohammadi and arrested him. He confessed to the crime and was sentenced by the Shariah Court to the maximum death penalty. The ministry said the sentence was approved by the court of appeals. The ministry warned all criminals that a harsh punishment would be their destiny in case they dared to commit any heinous crimes.
