You're not taking a very helpful approach to debugging. If you had shown the full error message, as I suggested, then your issue could probably have been fixed.
You didn't say what guide you're following. The official documentation is IMO clear and detailed: https://prometheus.io/docs/alerting/latest/overview/ https://github.com/prometheus/alertmanager As for installation, it's just a binary that you download and run, but the above documents don't tell you how to configure systemd to run it (ultimately it's assumed that you know how to administer a Linux system).
