Protel is, as far as I know, the only software I'm using witch has this
silly system. Every other software does the backup only if there are
changes. This could prevent much grief. I've also lost some work due to
this behaviour.
I have a daily backup on a tape. On mondays a full backup, tuesday to
sunday only changed files, all on the same tape. Then I have seven tapes in
a special changing order with results in a backup up to three month back.
