Hi folks,

I was wondering if the compatibility within the same major version of a
protobuf is guaranteed.

So, perhaps having a producer that uses the protobuf 3.0.0 and having a
consumer that uses the 3.6.0 version, if both sides share a message that
initially was serialized by the 3.0.0 version, will this message be
guaranteed that will be parsed without any troubles by the consumer?
Consider this quesiton for the whole range within a major version such as >
3.0.0, < 4.0.0.

Thanks
