I made major updates to the "output" branch in the Git repository
on Savannah today.  Now the GUI output should be quite good.  The
styling can still use some polish, but the hard parts are all
there.  Charts are fully supported, as is exporting to a wide
variety of formats.  (Try exporting to HTML.  It looks much
better than in previous releases.)

The output engine was completely rewritten.  It has been tested
to some extent, but I expect that there will be bug reports too.

I hope to merge this to master soon, depending on feedback.  And
then I hope to start working to release PSPP 0.8.
