I found a kind of report written late last year on PSPP from the user's 
perspective at:

It seems to be a draft written by a student, which has never been polished
into a finished document.  I don't think it tells us anything we didn't 
already know.  Nevertheless, it's interesting to know what (potential) users 
find important.
